EBD Recipe: Green Smoothie

Eat By Design

Prep time: 10 minutes

Special equipment: blender

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups cold water or homemade nut milk
  • 1 large handful of spinach
  • 1 large handful of swiss chard, chopped
  • 2 stalks of celery, chopped
  • ½ cucumber, peeled and chopped
  • ½ green apple, chopped
  • 1 banana, diced
  • 1 small avocado, chopped
  • 2 pinches of cilantro
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp. spirulina (optional)
  • 2 scoops protein powder (optional)

Steps

  1. Blend the spinach and kale with the water first, then add in the rest of the ingredients.
  2. This makes two servings, so store the second serving in a mason jar in the fridge.
