EBD Recipe: Homemade Ketchup

Eat By Design

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 10 minutes

Special equipment: none

Ingredients

  • 1 156 ml can organic tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/8 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey
  • 1/3 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon cloves

Steps

  1. In a medium pan over medium to low heat add tomato paste, water, vinegar and honey. Stir to combine.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and stir.
  3. Remove from the heat and store in a mason jar for up to a 
month.
  4. Pack it in your kid's lunch tomorrow and we bet it will be one of their new favourite "dippers!"
