Today I'm talking about something that's near and dear to my heart, and that's the importance of families, living their Life by Design. Specifically at our offices, and the Life by Design certified offices, we're focused on taking care of the brain/body connection.
But, all of the Life by Design steps are requirements. They're all strategies to fulfill something that every single human body requires, whether it's the nervous system, whether it's fuel, or movement. Or, having a healthy outlook on your life, and identifying what your purpose is, and how you are going to get and move in that direction.
Each of these patterns is much more easily implemented early on in your child's life. Take, for example, movement. As your child starts to move, as soon as they get old enough, we basically stick them at a desk, we put them in car seats. We inhibit or limit their normal motion. And the same is true with food. We have this opportunity to really set them on a path early, to learn about how to fuel their bodies, to start with breast feeding, to move into real foods, to move into quality, healthy by design sources. And to continue that path throughout their lifetime.
And the third, and most important in our office, is really the nervous system. When we look at the nervous system, any structural imbalance that occurs becomes part of their pattern as they get older. This cartilage system, this spine, if it's mis-aligned, altered or distorted, it's automatically creating an inhibition or interference in the neurological system. That pattern becomes part of their pattern as they get older, and it's much more difficult to correct or to set right.
So with each of these steps the power is in implementing them early. The power is in creating habits. The power is creating protocols and systems for your family to live a lifestyle that surrounds fulfilling all the Life by Design requirements.
Now its your turn. What habits have you been succesful in implementing in your chldren's lives? Which steps have been most challenging?
