Are you new to slow cooking? I know it can seem daunting at first, but it's not... it is simple.
Or are you a seasoned slow cooker veteran that absolutely loves using it week after week after week?
Either way, do you know what three things you must absolutely avoid when using a slow cooker?
Do not use frozen meat. Thaw your meat for at least 12-24 hours.
Do not bathe your food in liquid. Both veggies and meat will release liquid and one cup of liquid is usually plenty.
Do not open the lid! There is a reason the lid is clear... so you can peak at your food without releasing the heat.
BUT... if you absolutely must break this third rule, find out how many additional minutes you should cook your meal for in this video here.
