EBD Recipe: Cranberry Sauce

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 12 dates, pitted
  • Juice of one orange
  • 1 340g bag of cranberries

 Steps

  1. Process dates in a food processor until they become a paste.
  2. Place a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Add cranberries, orange juice and rind.
  4. Cook, stirring occasionally until the cranberries have popped. The date paste will eventually melt into the mixture.
  5. If the sauce begins to burn reduce heat to medium low.
  6. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
  7. Place sauce in fridge until ready to use.

Yields 1 1/2 cups of cranberry sauce.
